Annual Trash-Off Day, Poteau, OK

Events
This committee’s primary responsibility is hosting the majorfundraising events. In addition, the committee promotes and organizes events that benefit the community. Programs are: Chamber Annual Banquet, July 4th
Celebration, Golf Tournament, parades, etc.

Tourism
This committee promotes activities, advertisement and civic improvements that attract people and businesses to our community. Tasks may include: Cavanal Hill improvements, community beautification, researching local history.

Education
This committee obtains and disseminates educational information to chamber members. This committee also acts as liaisons to local, state and national politicians, keeping our members apprised of any legislation that may affect our community. Holding Career Day for area 8th grade students.
 
Beautification
The focus of the committee is to improve the area by participating in Oklahoma's Annual Trash-Off Day, holding a poster contest for the Poteau 4th grade students, going to the 4th grade to talk about the importance of not littering, giving them each a coloring book. Working with CASC Rotaract club in promoting Adopt-a-Roadway program.
